[ History ] :
This should be enough!

[ Personality ] :
Chidori doesn’t remember her childhood. All she remembers is white, and her dislike of hospitals stems from the fact she most likely spent many months in one testing and forcing out her Persona, Medea. This past, along with Jin, has made her nearly completely loyal to Takaya, who drew them from the darkness that was their lack of a future. While she believes in the ideology of “living in the moment”, her time spent with Junpei in the hospital has changed that to a point she became uncomfortable with and eventually reverted back to after being broken out. Chidori considers the two friends, at best her only family, but her only true friend is Medea - despite the other trying to kill her whenever she doesn’t have suppressants.

Junpei Iori was someone who became close - too close - in a matter of months and many visits to her in the hospital after she’d been captured. That person, whom she describes as a nuisance, is too friendly and affected her greatly. She became comfortable around him and spoke of her past - something she never did, though she didn’t remember much anyway - as he talked about his own. Chidori grew attached to him, something that she feared greatly: because whatever she liked usually went away somehow. Junpei made her want a future, and that scared her. He made her want to live for the next day instead of the present, and she even stopped cutting herself after he told her not to because it was bad and he didn’t want to see her hurt. Chidori’s thoughts on death - it being that you “just don’t wake up anymore” - are spun a 180 when Junpei says he doesn’t want her to die, and to think about his feelings because he’d be damn scared, hurt, and sad.

Her loyalties were split then: between Junpei and his obvious affection, and Strega.

Chidori refused to speak to anyone in S.E.E.S except for Junpei, and it’s assumed that it stayed like that. They are friends of Junpei and that is all. Right now, they are the enemy - and so is he. While she hurts at this realization, because she wants to be with him as much as she is startled and uncomfortable with the idea of actually having a future, she knows that either way she will die one day and there’s nothing that can stop it. But he gave her hope, and that’s the worst thing he’s ever done to her. Hope tore her up inside, it fed on her fear and desire to have a future, and was thrashed away as she realized how much she’d changed and sent Junpei off, not wanting to see him ever again. It hurt too much to bear. With Strega, everything had been black and white about life and death, what they had and couldn’t have, their pasts and lack of a future, and Junpei became a big grey splotch in her canvas. That “hope” was something she didn’t think she should have, since she’s always known the day she was going to die (something like two years from then, from her question about Junpei’s near future) and had accepted it.

If the choices are made to revive Chidori in FES/P3P, she’s reverted to how she had been as a child: considerate, kind, understanding, and quite cheerful. This means they’re buried deep inside her and are shown primarily through her interactions with Junpei.... though no one else will ever be able to see that sweet side of her.

The side most people see is an indifferent one, or someone who is annoyed easily by others. Chidori has always been quite alone, preferring to spending time by herself than with people, and is quite blunt. Her words are as sharp as the axe she carries, and she speaks her mind with little care to others’ feelings when you get her to actually talk. She also has a nice curiosity if something piques her interest - like a certain mention of an opposing Persona team - and will ask questions concerning it. Otherwise, she’s quite shy and doesn’t like speaking to strangers unless they persist. Then she calls them weird and annoying.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
+ She has a special ability due to her Persona, Medea, called "Spring of Life". This allows her to literally emit life and heal/revive things, from flowers to people. The latter is usually herself.
+ On her, she has her Evoker from Jin and Takaya! This lets her summon Medea.
+ Medea also allows her to disrupt telepathic exchanges, such as from Fuuka to the rest of the S.E.E.S team, and speak through them from afar.
+ While not much of a talker, she is very loyal to Strega. And Junpei.
+ Chidori wields a chainaxe and knows how to use it.
- Like Takaya, Medea is also a weakness. She must take suppressants so her “only friend” doesn’t kill her.
- Not very healthy, to put it simply. She has the lowest of HP compared to her fellow Strega members, hinting that she might not deal very well in terms of sickness and the like.
- Mental and Emotionally, she isn’t very sound. Her philosophy - until she met Junpei, anyway, and after Jin and Takaya broke her out - was that death was nothing to be afraid of and to embrace it, like living in the moment. Chidori thinks this way once more at the present moment.
- Chidori has allowed herself to bear with attachment to Junpei Iori, which she considers a weakness above all. It frightens her.

[ Other Important Facts ] :
She’s a really, really good drawer. Chidori claims that no one would understand her drawings (most of which were once red and black abstract art), but recently it had been changing to something anyone could understand, much to her confusion and annoyance.

She dresses in the style of one of the popular sub-cultures of 2009 Japan, gothic lolita, and is never without her choker and headband. It’s very pretty.

[ Sample ] :
[What was this?

Chidori runs a finger over the artistic mark on her left wrist, admiring it a little, and then tries to rub it off. When it doesn’t come off, she frowns and tries with her fingernail, not caring if she bleeds in trying to get rid of the impudent little thing.]

I don’t understand, how can such a little thing go past the surface?

[Tries as she might and murmur, she can’t get rid of it and ends up breaking skin in the process, watching calmly as the little line of blood welled up. That wasn’t something she’d done in a while, not since... him. She turns her thoughts away from that nuisance and hides the wound within her sleeve, ignoring the small red dot on the white cloth, as she realizes she’s no longer with Takaya and Jin. The city quite beautiful, she thinks, like something out of a painting, and touches her hair.

It’s wet, like she came out of the ocean.

Everything on her was wet. Had she come from above, like a body weighed down by rocks? Chidori looks up briefly before deciding that must be how it happened, because it couldn’t have happened any other way, and stands shakily. She checks her person for her two important things - her Evoker and her suppressants - and smiles slightly at the sight of the gun. It was... good she’d been broken out of that despicable place and away from him, she forces herself to think. Even if it meant leaving behind her sketchbook. It was filled with pictures she didn’t understand, anyway.]

Medea... I finally have you back.

[... Information about her whereabouts would have to be first priority though, and that wasn’t something she looked forward to. That was Jin’s area of speciality. Chidori frowns with slight disdain, already missing having something to bother her hands with, and glances at the passing people uncomfortably. First priority was changed: Buy a new sketchbook. Then she would find out more if necessary.]

[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] :
Just one question! Chidori would still be able to have her “Spring of Life” skill due to it being a passive skill as part of her Persona, correct? I assume so, but I’d like an affirmation or a denial.

^ Thankfully affirmed.
